Discover the Tiger II model construction kit – also known as the King Tiger – an impressive tank that was developed in 1943 and went into series production at Henschel in 1944. The Königstiger excellently combined the requirements for armor protection and firepower. The front armor, which was up to 150 mm thick, could not be penetrated by bullets from enemy tanks. The sides of the hull were armored up to 80 mm thick. Despite heavy bombardment by the Allies on the Henschel factory in Kassel, a total of 492 Tiger II tanks – including the prototypes and 50 vehicles – were delivered to the troops. Unfortunately, not all of the tanks reached the front line, as a significant number were lost due to drive problems due to the high total weight or simply due to a lack of fuel. This new model construction kit features fine surface details and offers a realistic representation of the Tiger II. The turret can rotate and the height of the gun is adjustable. The tracks are made of injection-molded plastic. In addition, the turret hatches can be displayed open for added detail. Please note Zimmerit anti-mine cladding is not included.
