With I Learn to Read, children learn to read and spell words in a playful way. All words have been carefully chosen. They consist of a maximum of 5 letters and correspond to the vocabulary of a 5-year-old child. The special letter system ensures that children can practice independently. I Learn to Read contains 15 cards with 90 assignments on 3 different levels: copying words, finding initial, final and intermediate letters and spelling words. With I Learn to Read, you can practice at home what you will learn at school later.

How to play I Learn to Read
Choose the card you want to play and place it on the yellow playing area of the case. The cards increase in difficulty, how the educational game is played depends on the chosen card
– Map 1 to 5 copy words
– Map 6 to 10 find missing letters. Look at the drawing and say the word out loud, under the drawing you will see part of the word. Can you find the missing letter? In increasing difficulty, each card is missing an initial letter, an end letter or intermediate letters. The goal is to find the missing letter block. Each letter block has its own color, so that children can connect the letter to the color.
– Map 11 to 15 Spell words. Look at the drawing and say the word out loud. You will not see a word under the drawing. Place the word with the letter blocks.

Self-correcting system
At first, children will need some guidance in selecting the cards and understanding the assignments, but thanks to the block system, they will soon be able to get started on their own. In the Ik Leer Lezen suitcase, there is a card with the letters of the alphabet on it. The letter blocks are on it, sorted by color. Each letter block has a special back, so that it only fits in one place on the assignment cards. Due to the color and the special back of the blocks, it only fits in the right place. This way, children know immediately whether they have the correct answer.
